Booking Confirmation:

• A booking request must be submitted to confirm your tour. Once confirmed, a deposit may be required to secure your reservation.

Payment Terms:

• Full payment is required prior to the start of the tour. Payment methods accepted include bank transfer, credit card, or cash.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations are subject to the following fees:

• More than 30 days before departure: Full refund minus administrative fees.
• 15-30 days before departure: 50% of the total cost will be refunded.
• Less than 15 days before departure: No refund will be issued.

Itinerary Changes:

• Itineraries are subject to change based on local conditions, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. The operator will strive to provide a similar itinerary or alternative arrangements of equal value.

Liability:

• The tour operator is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during the tour. Travelers are encouraged to obtain travel insurance for personal protection.

Travel Insurance:

• It is strongly recommended that travelers purchase travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances, including trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and personal belongings.

Visas and Passports:

• Travelers are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports and necessary visas (if required) for the duration of their trip. The operator is not responsible for any issues related to immigration or customs.

Behavior:

• Travelers are expected to behave in a respectful and responsible manner throughout the tour. The operator reserves the right to remove any participant for disruptive behavior without a refund.

Force Majeure:

• The tour operator shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under these terms due to events beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics).

Acceptance of Terms:

• By booking the tour, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.

Travel Tips for Beijing

Language:

• While many signs are in English and some locals speak Basic English, having a translation app or a Mandarin phrasebook can be very helpful for communication.

Currency:

• The currency used in Beijing is the Chinese Yuan (CNY). It’s advisable to carry some cash for smaller purchases, as not all places accept credit cards, especially in markets and small restaurants.

Transportation:

• Beijing has an extensive and affordable metro system. Consider getting a Beijing Transportation Smart Card for convenient travel on subways and buses.
• For quicker trips, use ride-hailing apps like Didi or local taxis (ensure the driver uses the meter).

Local Cuisine:

• Don't miss trying local dishes such as Peking duck, jianbing (Chinese crepes), and dumplings. Street food is also a great way to taste authentic Beijing flavors.

Etiquette: 

• Be polite and respectful. A simple greeting in Mandarin, like “Ni hao” (hello), can go a long way in establishing goodwill.
• When visiting temples or cultural sites, dress modestly and be mindful of the local customs.

Internet Access:  Many websites and apps (like Google, Facebook, and Instagram) are blocked in China. Download a VPN service before your trip to access these sites while you’re there.

Weather Preparedness: Check the local weather forecast before your visit and pack accordingly. Bring layers for cooler temperatures in the spring and fall, and an umbrella for rainy days, especially in summer (May to September).
